We’ll collect a few details about the performer, the production and the audition. Sharing the official audition instructions and current material helps the coach prepare before the first session.

ARE ALL SESSIONS ONLINE?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Booked coaching takes place live online, allowing performers to work from home with a coach selected for their age group, material and audition needs.

Question 3

WHAT WILL THE COACH WORK ON?

Accepted Answer

That depends on what the performer needs most. Coaching may include learning or selecting appropriate material, understanding the character and story, strengthening acting or singing choices, refining a song cut or monologue, and practicing how to handle the audition room.

CAN A PARENT ATTEND?

Yes. Parents and guardians are welcome to sit in. Performers also benefit from having space to work directly with their coach, so parents receive a concise summary of the work, progress and recommended next steps after each session.

HOW IS MY COACH SELECTED?

We match each performer with a coach based on age group, audition needs, material and scheduling availability. Every Booked coach is a graduate of a BFA Musical Theatre program and is selected for both performance expertise and the ability to work effectively with student performers.

WHAT IF WE WANT TO CONTINUE COACHING AFTER THE AUDITION?

Ongoing private coaching is available for performers who want to continue developing their acting, singing, audition material or performance skills. Sessions may be purchased individually or in prepaid packages of five or ten.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT A PERFORMER WILL BE CAST?

No. Casting decisions involve many factors beyond any performer’s control. Booked helps performers arrive prepared, make confident and specific choices, and know how to handle the audition room—regardless of the final casting decision.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING POLICY?

Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice—and missed sessions without notice—will be charged in full. We understand that genuine emergencies happen, so please contact us as soon as possible if an unexpected situation arises.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED TO PREPARE?

Whenever possible, we recommend beginning at least seven days before the audition so there is time to learn, develop and refine the material. If the audition is less than seven days away, Booked Express provides focused preparation based on the time available and coach availability. If you’ve already received a callback, Booked Callback offers targeted coaching for the new material and expectations.

WHY ARE SESSIONS RECORDED?

All sessions are recorded as a safety measure for performers, families and coaches. Recordings are kept private and are never posted publicly, used in marketing or shared outside Booked. A parent or guardian will be informed of the recording policy before coaching begins.

DO I NEED TO HAVE MY AUDITION MATERIAL SELECTED ALREADY?

No. If the audition allows performers to choose their own material, a coach can help evaluate or select an age-appropriate song or monologue that fits the requirements and showcases the performer well. If material has been assigned, please send it in advance so the coach can prepare for the session.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR AN ONLINE SESSION?

You’ll need a reliable internet connection and a computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone. Performers should have enough space to sit, stand, move and be seen clearly.If the session includes song coaching, you’ll also need a separate phone, tablet or other device for playing accompaniment tracks. The track should not be played from the same device being used for the virtual coaching session.

Ideally, the performer will have a Bluetooth speaker, as well, but that is not required.
