An audition shouldn’t be the first time a student shares their material with an audience. In our small, age-grouped online Performance Lab, Booked performers practice in a supportive room and receive multiple professional perspectives before the pressure of the real thing.
The Performance Gap
You’ve spent weeks in coaching. You know every note and every beat of the monologue. But then you walk into the room—the lighting is different, the air feels heavier, and suddenly, the performance moves from your bones to your head. That shift is the performance gap.
Coaching is for learning. Performance Lab is for bridging.

Three to six performers per 90-minute session.
Performance Lab is intentionally small, specifically structured, and included for all students enrolled in the standard prep track.

Why group work?
Performance is a communal act. Watching others work provides as much insight as working yourself. You’ll see common mistakes, witness incredible adjustments, and realize that every person in that Lab—and every person on the audition list—is navigating the same challenges you are. This builds empathy, perspective, and genuine artistic confidence.
Confidence isn’t the absence of nerves. It’s the presence of preparation.
How to Join the Lab
Performance Lab is automatically included for any student booked for our standard track (at least 7 days before their audition date). Students in the Prep track are eligible to join the Lab occurring nearest to their audition date. If you are doing an Express or Callback coaching, you are welcome to add a Performance Lab session to your prep if schedule allows.
